Training Overview
This one-day training will provide you with the keys to developing Power BI reports. You will learn to transform and load data, define relationships and semantic model calculations, create interactive visuals, and distribute reports.

- Discover end-to-end analytics using Microsoft Fabric.
To attend this training, it is strongly recommended to have experience working with data in the cloud. Specifically:
- Understand basic data concepts.
- Have knowledge of working with relational or non-relational data in the cloud.
- Have knowledge of data analysis and visualization concepts.
- Attending the “AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals” training is a plus.
Build with Power BI
- Understand how Power BI apps and services work together.
- Explore how Power BI can make your business more efficient.
- Create engaging visuals and reports.
Get data in Power BI
- Log in and connect to a data source.
- Get data from a relational database, such as Microsoft SQL Server.
- Get data from a file, such as Microsoft Excel.
- Get app data.
- Get data from Azure Analysis Services.
- Select a storage mode.
- Troubleshoot performance issues.
- Fix data import errors.
Cleanse, transform, and load data in Power BI
- Resolve inconsistencies, unexpected or null values, and data quality issues.
- Apply user-friendly value overrides.
- Profile data to learn more about a specific column before using it.
- Evaluate and transform column data types.
- Apply data shape transformations to table structures.
- Combine queries.
- Apply user-friendly naming conventions to columns and queries.
- Edit M code in the Advanced Editor.
Design a semantic model in Power BI
- Create common date tables.
- Set up many-to-many relationships.
- Resolve circular relationships.
- Design star schematics.
Design Power BI reports
- Learn about the structure of a Power BI report.
- Learn about report objects.
- Select the appropriate type of visual to use.
Create interactive reports using Copilot for Power BI
- Design a semantic model.
- Create visuals and reports.
- Create summaries.
Describe end-to-end analytics in Microsoft Fabric.
