How to Prepare for the AZ-900 Certification?
Now that you have completed the Azure Fundamentals training with Cellenza Training, it’s time to properly prepare to ensure success on this exam!
The AZ-900 certification requires candidates to master the fundamental concepts of cloud services and how they are provided by the Azure solution. To obtain this certification, you need to score 700 points out of 1000 at the end of the exam.
Cellenza Training instructors recommend preparing a few weeks before taking the certification exam by first reviewing the skills expected to pass the AZ-900. All these basic knowledge points are presented and covered in our Azure Fundamentals training. In our blog article “How to Prepare for Your Microsoft Azure Certification Exam,” we also provide access to educational resources that will help you in your preparation.
Cellenza Training’s Recipe for Successfully Preparing for Your Certification:

- Multiple reviews of the educational resources provided during your training
- Revisions and practice on each skill required to pass the certification
What is the AZ-900 Certification Process Like?
After scheduling an appointment with the person responsible for monitoring you (the Microsoft proctor), you can choose the time slot that suits you best for taking your exam.
On the exam day, you will have 85 minutes to answer 40 to 60 questions in English. The exam takes place in a monitored environment: you will be required to turn on your camera until the end of the test and verify your identity.
During this exam, you will be evaluated on various topics. The themes are distributed as follows:
- Cloud concepts (20 to 25% of the questions)
- Core Azure services (15 to 20% of the questions)
- Azure management tools (10 to 15% of the questions)
- Security and network security features (10 to 15%)
